Matariki Art

W.A.L.T upload my learning to my blog and write about it.

Last week we created some Matariki art. For this task we got given two templates of a star, one big one and one small one. Next we traced each star so we got two big stars and two small stars. Then we used pencils to do some Maori patterns and then coloured the patterns with felts. Then we cut them out. Next we glued the Stars together and then glued them onto black paper. After that we cut them out. Then you have a cool star artwork. Here is mine.

Reflection

I enjoyed this task because art is really fun and I like drawing and designing patterns. Something that I could improve on is having more detailed patterns and using more colours so it will stand out.

Have you done Matariki art this year?
